How to use the interval timer

  1. Pick a preset – Tabata 20/10 × 8 is the classic – or type your own work time, rest time and number of rounds.
  2. Press Start. You get a short "Get ready" countdown to take your position.
  3. The screen turns pink for work and blue for rest. The timer beeps for the last 3 seconds of each interval and gives a longer beep when the next one starts, so you don't need to watch the screen.
  4. Press Fullscreen to see a huge timer from across the room – ideal on a TV, laptop or phone propped against the wall.

The round counter and "Total left" show how far you are through the workout. Press Start again to pause if you need a break, and Reset to start over.
